Poetry: Mirror Image

I stumbled on a friend today
She followed me around
I felt her everywhere I went
Together, we were bound

I saw her in the mirror
I felt her aura, too
As I sat to rest a bit,
My amazement really grew

She looked an awful lot like me
Though the silhouette had changed
Those two mounds of fleshy softness
Noticeably rearranged

She introduced herself to me,
“It’s nice to meet you dear”
“I’d love to have you for my friend”
“Come here, I’ll dry your tear”
