Poetry: Diamonds Are A Girl's Best Friend

Beneath the body bright
Unexpectedly she fell
Like Alice through her Looking Glass
To resurface fully well

Sun kissed, celestial orbs
patterned in the night
Point my awareness toward
wholeness and what’s right

Sparkling bursts of inner light
Like teardrops, cleanse my soul
Gently restoring brilliance
Indeed, that is the goal

Diamonds are a girl’s best friend
No doubt you’ve heard the tale
Those Carbon covered “inner gems”
Holding tight, no way I’ll fail
