Poetry: At Harbin Hot Spring’s Retreat

Today I am that child again

giggly and all aglow
having found a rope to swing upon
tossing to and fro

A surgery in three days
I don’t even care
momentarily preoccupied
breathing clean, fresh air

Swaying in the summer breeze
no worries haunting me
unleashing pent-up energies
I’m feeling oh so free!
